Telegram gives a 30% discount here: as ad credit one Star is worth $0.02, while withdrawing it pays $0.013. Here is how it works and how it relates to the «cashier» vertical in our archive.

How to launch Stars Promotions
Four steps from a Stars balance to a live campaign.

Check the Stars balance
The budget is the Stars balance of a channel or bot you own. Those Stars can only advertise that same channel or bot — a third-party product needs the euro or Gram cabinet.

Pay with Stars
Create the campaign for that channel or bot and pay with its Stars. With Telegram’s 30% discount one Star counts as $0.02 of ad credit, against the $0.013 you would get by withdrawing it.

Build the creative
Write a sponsored message that promotes your channel or bot. The same ad policy applies as in the euro and Gram cabinets.

Track the result
Watch subscribers or bot users grow. If the goal is a mini app, point the ad at the bot that hosts it.
The cashier vertical explained
Stars are the currency of Telegram’s «cashier» economy — invoices, paid media, subscriptions and gifts. Stars Promotions let a channel or bot put what it holds back into its own growth: the EUR and Gram cabinets can promote anything the ad policy allows, while Stars can only promote the channel or bot that holds them.
The only fixed values are in dollars: $0.02 of ad credit or $0.013 on withdrawal per Star. There is no fixed Stars-to-Gram rate — the Gram price floats. Channel owners also receive 50% of the ad revenue from their channels, in Gram or Stars, through Fragment: Gram can be withdrawn 2 days after it is accrued, Stars after 21 days.

How much is a Telegram Star?
Two dollar values are fixed: $0.02 of ad credit when you spend a Star on ads for your own channel or bot, and $0.013 when you withdraw it. The purchase price depends on the platform and the pack. There is no fixed rate to Gram.
What can I promote with Stars?
Only the channel or bot whose Stars you spend. A third-party product, a website or someone else’s channel needs the euro or Gram cabinet.
How is this different from the EUR cabinet?
The euro cabinet is bought through resellers, is paid in euros and can promote channels, bots, accounts and websites with country, language and interest targeting. Stars Promotions use the Stars you already hold and promote only your own channel or bot.
