How it is calculated
Cost = (impressions ÷ 1,000) × CPM, and the other way round, reach = (budget ÷ CPM) × 1,000. CPM (the price per 1,000 impressions) on Telegram Ads is auction-driven, and the biggest multiplier is geo: the same creative clears differently country to country.
The calculator takes the country’s CPM band from the table below; the niche points you to the right cabinet. We do not multiply niche by geo — that would invent a number the sources do not support.

Country rates as in the source: TON and euro (the source did the conversion; an aggregate of Q1 2025 campaigns, SMIT.Link data via PropellerAds, page updated 7 May 2026; no US or Germany data). On the platform you pay in euros (the EUR cabinet, via resellers), in Gram (GRAM, formerly Toncoin) in the Gram cabinet, or in Stars. The Gram cabinet’s minimum CPM is 0.1 Gram; in the EUR cabinet, minimum CPMs for accounts from Russia since 28 August 2026 are €0.60 (country/language targeting), €0.30 (Politics & Incidents) and €0.75 (channels, bots, search), and SA Media puts the average CPM at €0.97 in August 2026. Where the numbers come from
CPM rates combine the official ads.telegram.org documentation with public agency case studies (PropellerAds, RichAds, Collaborator). Ranges are indicative and move with the auction, niche and creative — a ballpark, not a quote. We do not publish a total “$10B market” figure (no reliable primary source). The ~€2 million direct-contract threshold (€1 million deposit) is known only from resellers — Telegram does not publish it; the usual entry is via resellers from €250–500 or the Gram cabinet (formerly the TON cabinet) from ~20 Gram, per practitioners.

How accurate is the calculator?
It is a ballpark, not a quote. Telegram Ads CPM is auction-driven and depends on niche, geo, creative and competition. The calculator gives a range from per-country auction rates in PropellerAds data for Q1 2025; the real clearing price can differ.
How much reach will my budget get?
Switch the calculator to “by budget” mode: enter an amount and geo, and it computes reach = (budget ÷ CPM) × 1,000. For example, €1,000 in English-speaking countries (€3.50–5.00 CPM) is roughly 200–286K impressions. Same logic, the other way round.
Why is cost shown in dollars if the EUR cabinet bills in euros?
Effective CPMs by geo are published in dollars, so dollars here are just a single scale to compare geos. You pay in euros (the EUR cabinet via resellers), in Gram (GRAM, formerly Toncoin; the Gram cabinet) or in Stars; the Gram rate floats, so we do not fix a dollar conversion. Minimum CPMs in the EUR cabinet for accounts from Russia since 28 August 2026 are €0.30–0.75 depending on targeting.
Does the calculator account for the niche?
The niche points you to the right cabinet (e.g. crypto → the Gram cabinet) and where in the band you land: premium niches clear toward the upper bound. Geo sets the CPM band — we do not multiply niche by geo, to avoid inventing a number.
What is the minimum budget?
Telegram names no minimum budget — only a minimum CPM. EUR cabinet: via resellers from €250–500, and eLama lets you start from €0 on post-payment. The Gram cabinet (formerly the TON cabinet): a deposit from ~20 Gram, per practitioners. A direct contract with Telegram, resellers say, is around €2 million (€1 million of it a deposit).
