Three ways to buy ads in Telegram channels: Telegram Ads (official sponsored messages), Suggested Posts (a native post paid through Telegram with a guarantee) and seeding (a paid post agreed with the admin or via an ad exchange).

Telegram Ads Suggested Posts Seeding
Format "Sponsored" message under posts, in search, in bots Regular channel post Regular channel post
Price CPM auction Fixed per post, in Stars or Gram (GRAM, formerly Toncoin) Negotiated per post
Guarantee Pay for impressions Refund if removed before 24 hours Trust, contract or exchange
Fee 15–20% to the reseller (euro cabinet) Telegram keeps 15% Exchange or agency fee, if any

Telegram Ads: reach and targeting#

For reach, targeting by country, language or interests (euro cabinet), search and bot ads. The average CPM in August 2026 was about €0.97, per SA Media; minimum bids for accounts from Russia since 28 August are €0.6 (country/language), €0.3 (politics) and €0.75 (channels, bots, search) (ppc.world, eLama). Reseller entry: from €250–500. Limits: 160-character text, the same moderation rules in every cabinet, a non-native format.

Suggested Posts: native, with escrow#

For chosen channels with direct messages on, when you want a native post and no "paid, but no post" risk. You offer a post, a price (5–100,000 Stars or 0.01–10,000 Gram) and a time; the money is charged on acceptance and paid out after 24 hours live, or fully refunded if the post goes earlier (Telegram, Bot API). The channel gets 85% (config). Paid posts cannot be edited; no built-in marking or paperwork. See the Suggested Posts playbook.

Seeding: flexible, trust-based#

For formats Telegram Ads lacks (long native copy, reviews, series), channels without DMs, contracts and closing documents. Benchmarks (in Russia, early 2026, per rb.ru): CPM of 200–1,000 ₽ by niche and format; an average post about 17,000 ₽ in channels under 10,000 subscribers, about 40,000 ₽ under 100,000, up to 1.5 million ₽ in million-subscriber channels; 40–150 ₽ per subscriber (rb.ru, 10 Jan 2026). Risks: no escrow, inflated views, missed dates; exchanges reduce them for a fee.

How to choose#

A broad test → Telegram Ads, then Suggested Posts in the best channels. Niche B2B, a dozen channels → Suggested Posts where DMs are open, seeding with a contract elsewhere. A bot or Mini App → Telegram Ads in search and bots. A long native review → seeding or a Suggested Post. Combining is common: Telegram Ads for reach and tests, Suggested Posts and seeding for native posts in the best channels.

Common mistakes: judging by price per post, not cost per result (which depends on the niche); seeding without a guarantee where Suggested Posts are open; pushing gambling, dating or dietary supplements through Telegram Ads, which bans them in every cabinet.

Advertising to Russia? Every format there, native posts included, needs an erid (an ad token reported to the state register, ERIR): resellers add it for Telegram Ads, exchanges can for seeding, Suggested Posts have none built in; see the marking guide.
