Telegram Ads Revenue Share in 2026: How Channel and Bot Owners Get Paid
Channels and bots earn 50% of Telegram Ads revenue shown in them. Who qualifies, how rewards accrue in Gram and Stars, how to withdraw via Fragment, the 2- and 21-day holds, switching ads off with boosts, and other ways to earn: paid messages and Suggested Posts.

Every Telegram ad shown in a channel or a bot earns money for its owner. Telegram shares 50% of the ad revenue from those impressions — a figure it calls "one of the most generous reward systems in the history of social media" (Telegram API). This guide covers how the payout works in 2026, now that rewards come in Gram rather than "TON", and what else a channel can earn from.
The rules in short#
| Share | 50% of revenue from valid ad impressions in your channel or bot |
| Who qualifies | Public channels with 1,000+ subscribers show ads (getting-started); bots show ads too |
| Currencies | Gram (formerly Toncoin) and Stars |
| When you can withdraw | Gram 2 days after accrual, Stars 21 days after |
| Who pays out | Fragment |
| Stars value | $0.013 per Star on withdrawal; $0.02 per Star if spent on ads for your own channel or bot |

Three conditions from the terms matter. Telegram calls the share a "voluntary commitment" that is "subject to change at any time without notice". It may deduct rewards it links to invalid activity — bought or fake impressions, spam, automation — up to the full balance. And it may set an expiration date for unredeemed rewards (ToS).
How to see and withdraw your rewards#
- Open Channel Settings → Statistics → Monetization. Your Gram and Stars balances are there (fragment.com/ads).
- Withdrawal goes through Fragment: the app opens a Fragment page where you connect a TON wallet (Telegram API). You will need two-step verification enabled on your Telegram account to confirm.
- Respect the holds: Gram becomes available 2 days after it accrues, Stars 21 days after.
- For Stars there is a minimum and a maximum per withdrawal set by Telegram; withdraw in several steps if needed.
Old guides that mention a "minimum payout of 1 TON" or a fixed Stars-to-TON rate are out of date — the terms name no such minimum for Gram, and the Gram price floats.
Spend instead of withdraw#
Stars on your channel's or bot's balance can pay for ads promoting that same channel or bot, at a 30% discount: one Star is worth $0.02 in ad credit instead of $0.013 in cash (Telegram API). If you were going to advertise the channel anyway, this is the better rate.
Switching ads off#
A channel that reaches a high enough boost level can disable Telegram Ads for its subscribers; by default the threshold is boost level 50 (API config, Telegram API). Premium subscribers can hide ads for themselves. Both reduce the impressions you earn from.
Other ways a channel earns in 2026#
- Suggested Posts. Advertisers can offer you a paid post in Stars or Gram through direct messages. You receive 85% once the post has been live for 24 hours (Telegram blog, config). See our playbook for Suggested Posts — the admin side is the mirror image.
- Paid direct messages. You can charge Stars for each message sent to the channel; you keep 85% (Telegram blog, config).
- Paid posts with Stars (hidden content unlocked for Stars) — also counted in your rewards.
Common mistakes#
- Waiting for a "1 TON minimum". There is none in the terms; Gram can be withdrawn after 2 days.
- Withdrawing Stars you planned to spend on promotion. $0.02 in ad credit beats $0.013 in cash.
- Buying views. Telegram can deduct rewards it links to invalid activity, up to the whole balance.
- Forgetting two-step verification. Withdrawal requires it.
FAQ#
How much does a channel earn per 1,000 views? Telegram does not publish a rate: the channel gets half of what advertisers paid for impressions in it, and CPMs vary widely by niche and country.
Is the revenue share still 50% in 2026? Yes, per Telegram's API documentation and terms as of September 2026.
Can I withdraw to a bank card? Not directly. Withdrawal goes through Fragment to a TON wallet; from there you can use an exchange.
