“Fragment API Keys” Explained: What Actually Exists for Telegram Ads in 2026
There is no public Fragment API. What people call “Fragment API keys” is one of three things: the API token in the Telegram Ads cabinet, the Telegram Gateway token, or third-party services that work through your web session and seed phrase. What each one does and where the risks are.

"Fragment now lets you generate API keys" is a claim that keeps circulating in advertiser chats. We checked what is publicly visible as of 23 September 2026. The short answer: Fragment itself has no public API and no published API keys. When people say "Fragment API", they usually mean one of three different things — and only two of them come from Telegram.
What we checked#
- Fragment's own pages. Nothing about API keys on fragment.com/about, /terms or /ads. On integrations, Fragment's FAQ says that collectibles live on the public TON blockchain, which offers "a free, distributed and secure interface for developers" — it does not mention an API of its own.
- The site code. fragment.com/api is the site's own backend: it only answers requests tied to a browser session cookie and returns pieces of the web interface. It is not a developer API.
- Telegram announcements. No mention of Fragment API keys on the Telegram blog or the official channels up to 23 September 2026.
What happens behind a logged-in Fragment account cannot be checked from outside. If Fragment launches a developer API, the first public trace will most likely be a change to its terms.
1. The API token in the Telegram Ads cabinet#
This is the most likely official candidate. The code of the ads.telegram.org cabinet contains an API screen: a token you can copy, a button to revoke it and issue a new one, and a field for an IP allow-list. Judging by the code, the token belongs to a specific ad account. This screen has existed since at least April 2024.
What is not public:
- The documentation. The methods are described only to logged-in users; nothing is published openly.
- Who gets access. Industry sources say the Telegram Ads API is available to direct sellers (ppc.world, June 2025); many automation tools for ordinary advertisers still work through a browser extension instead.
What it is likely to give you: data and management of your own ad account — campaigns, budgets, statistics. It is not a window into other advertisers' ads. The confusion with Fragment is understandable: the ad balance itself is topped up via Fragment.
Handle the token like a password: keep it on your server, restrict it to your server's IP addresses in the allow-list, never paste it into chats or third-party tools, and revoke it if it leaks.
2. The Telegram Gateway token#
The only fully documented paid API connected to Fragment. Telegram Gateway sends login and verification codes through Telegram instead of SMS for $0.01 per delivered code, with automatic refunds for codes that are not delivered. You copy the token in the Gateway account and fund the balance with "Add Funds on Fragment" (tutorial). The Gateway site still says you pay "using TON" — the coin now called Gram (gateway.telegram.org).
It has nothing to do with advertising data. If someone sold you "Fragment API access" and you received a Gateway token, you got an SMS alternative, not ad analytics.
3. Third-party "Fragment API" services#
Search for "Fragment API" and you find paid services with their own dashboards and keys, open-source libraries and Telegram bots. They automate things like buying Stars and Premium or topping up ad balances. They are not Fragment products. Technically they work on top of your Fragment web session (cookies) and, very often, your wallet's seed phrase, because that is the only way to sign payments without Fragment's cooperation. Some of these tools send the seed phrase to their own servers.
Risks, in order of severity:
- Whoever has your seed phrase controls the wallet. Not "can pay for ads" — can move everything.
- Session takeover. A copied Fragment session can act on your account.
- Instability. In August 2026 users of two popular open-source wrappers reported periodic 403 errors from fragment.com in the projects' GitHub issues; Fragment does not offer or support automation of its site.
- Impersonation. A look-alike domain, frugment.com, was registered on 20 May 2026, and a Telegram channel calling itself "Fragment Official Channel" exists. Type fragment.com by hand.
Not every such service is a scam, but none of them is an official Fragment API, and a service that needs your seed phrase is asking for full control of your money.
Quick reference#
| What people call it | What it really is | Official? | What it gives | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "Fragment API key" in the ad cabinet | Telegram Ads API token | Yes (Telegram) | Your own ad account | Leaked token — use the IP allow-list |
| "Fragment API key" for SMS | Telegram Gateway token | Yes (Telegram) | Sending verification codes | Leaked token — spend on your balance |
| "Fragment API" service or library | A wrapper over your web session / seed | No | Automated purchases | Loss of the whole wallet |
If you need automation today#
- Ad management at scale — work through a reseller or agency with API access, or ask your account manager about the API section of your cabinet.
- Top-ups — do them manually on fragment.com from your own wallet; for agencies, Fragment lets you fund someone else's account (fragment.com/ads/topup).
- Market data on ads — none of the three gives you other advertisers' creatives. For that you need an ad archive such as tgadsspy.com.
FAQ#
Does Fragment have an official API? Not a public one. As of 23 September 2026 nothing is announced or documented.
Is the Telegram Ads API public? No. The token screen exists in the cabinet, but the documentation is only visible after login, and industry sources say access is limited to direct sellers.
Is it safe to give my seed phrase to a service that "pays for ads for me"? No. A seed phrase gives full control over the wallet.
Can I get Telegram Ads statistics for other advertisers through any of these? Nothing public suggests so. Judging by the cabinet code, the ads token belongs to your own ad account, and the Gateway token only sends codes.
